Experience Aarhus from the sea
Aros Cruises offers harbor cruises, charter trips, and event cruises in the city. We create the opportunity to experience the city from the sea side, hear all the exciting stories from the past and not least the city’s dreams for the future – plus of course a few good sailor stories. Our tours start from Herman Sallings Plads behind the Cathedral, and go out to Aarhus Ø and further around the island to the north side and the old fishing harbor.
Here we see the wooden ship harbor, the houseboats, and a sea of active associations and lots of life. Come and experience our ship and a little adventure on top of that.

From Wooden Ship to Shipping Company
The story began when one day in 2017 we were offered a wooden ship worthy of preservation, free and open, on the condition that we maintain the ship and sail it.
It turned into a big yes, thank you.
An association was formed and soon the association had over 50 members. The ship was and still is called the Ålekvasen Anna.
We were allowed to sail with 12 guests, but the phone started ringing with more than 12 sailing-happy guests.
We started chartering other small ships in the area, and learned a lot about business and operations. And then we formed our own shipping company.
In 2019, our customers called because they wanted to sail a harbor cruise and we said yes, and then got busy finding a ship for the task.
